Founded in 2004, The Hollywood Hill provides its entertainment industry members with both speaker-driven educational events and tools that support them in the production of social issue media content.

Our primary focus is supporting innovators in science and technology. We're entering a new century defined by rapid and exponential breakthroughs in science and technology that are handing the human race an unprecedented capability to shape the future of the world. The Hollywood Hill tracks the innovators behind these breakthroughs, invites them to present their work to Hollywood, and then provides tools for the entertainment industry to help develop and deploy their projects into the global marketplace, thus maximizing their impact.

Hollywood has a role to play in supporting these innovators. Not only do we have the largest creative community in the entire world, but a world-class business community capable of providing business strategy, legal, marketing, and financial assistance. Hollywood's thousands of top attorneys, agents, managers, and producers, combined with our diverse and ecletic film, television, and music creative talent are a virtual army of social change agents with a global reach.

Our Wired + Green Command Center, The Catalyst Center (launching 2009), will be The Hollywood Hill's hi-tech command center for speaker-presentations and project activities. In collaboration with Wired Magazine, the 6,000 sq. ft. building will become a showcase for state-of-the-art wired and green technologies.

Our Events & Conferences keep our entertainment industry members informed on key breakthroughs and marketplace trends. Wired Magazine is the 2008 Presenting Sponsor and Yahoo our 2008 Lead Sponsor of our Conference Series. In addition to science and technology, we host entertainment industry workshops discussing trends within the industry, with particular focus on the impact of technology innovations. And we also publish a Daily Intelligence Report by email keeping members up-to-speed on marketplace innovations on a daily basis.

Our Projects are being developed in partnership with Armchair Revolutionary, a new website start-up focused on engaging the public in innovative social projects supporting science and technology innovators that can shape a positive future. The Hollywood Hill will be providing short-form media support for Armchair's non-media projects as well as project management of Armchair's media projects. Our credentialed members will have a chance to volunteer for these assignments and our junior members will have a chance to shadow these experts in our mentorship program.

To assist our members and our organization in packaging all social issue media projects, we are launching SeedGrid.com, a new website that brings the entertainment community together for attaching business and creative talent to social issue media projects.
